Our study investigated the impact of parenting styles on a child's scores on the dark triad personality test. The way a child is parented directly impacts their growth and development from an early age. There are four parenting styles that are most often recognized including Authoritative, Authoritarian and Permissive/Neglectful. The review of previous literature found connections between lower quality parenting and increased levels of narcissism in children.
